On April 11, 2019, Vitae attended “The Technology and Health Congress Women 360°” a congress on health, well-being and business for women directors and business people, held at the Naturgy Auditorium in Barcelona.
This 3rd consecutive event focused on Technology and Health, in collaboration with Naturgy, and directors of companies such as Vodafone and Sage, and of entities such as the Barcelona Supercomputing Center, the Institute of Continuing Education of the University of Barcelona and the Fundació TIC Salut.
The conference consisted of different round tables such as the one led by Susana Duran, Director of the Innovation and Emerging Technologies team at Sage, which focused on how technological innovations such as Big Data, Blockchain, Artificial Intelligence, Personalized Medicine and 5G, are impacting in the field of health.
Among the speakers directors such as Mrs. Montse Guardia, Vice President of the Alastria Consortium and President of the Quantum Blockchain Alliance, and Ms. Joana Sánchez, Commercial Director APP and Health Catalonia and Aragon in Vodafone.
The second roundtable of the day was moderated by Ms. Rosa María López, responsible for HR of the IL3-UB, addressing the importance of technological education in health as a reference in the change of system and had the participation of experts such as Dr. Agathe Leon, Director of the International Unit of the IL3-UB, and Ms. Gemma Mas, Director of the Dept. of Innovation, Quality and Design of the IL3-UB; Ms. Gina Aran, Partner Director of the Humannova Group, and Ms. Caroline Ragot, Mobile Expert and App and Co-Founder of Women In Mobile.
Finally, the day closed with a roundtable dedicated to health devices and apps, in which Mrs. Ariadna Puig, winner of the mSchools SDG Challenge 4YFN participated in the last Mobile World Congress, who presented the uHandle project, a device that allows feed autonomously to people with hand deformations; Mr. Joan Gil, CEO of myHealth Watcher, an app that reads and interprets food labels and makes personalized recommendations to consumers; and Ms. Maria Berruezo, coFounder of the LactApp breastfeeding app
For Vitae it was a real pleasure to attend this day, a benchmark in this country, in the field of health and technological innovations.
