Last Thursday, November 22, 2018, a special event organized by Vitae, The Kyoparty (Kyolic), in the wonderful Hipòstila Hall of the modernist enclosure of Hospital de Sant Pau in Barcelona, which holds the title of the largest modernist building in Europe, designed by the renowned architect Lluís Domènech i Montaner.
In this magical location, of 465m2 constructed of tiles and ceramics, Vitae presented one of its most special product ranges: The Kyolic range, formulated with aged garlic.
Garlic is a plant belonging to the Liliaceae family, a monocot family comprising more than 3,000 species divided into more than 200 genera worldwide, with the exception of Arctic zones of cosmopolitan distribution. As a medicinal remedy garlic has been used during the various epidemics that humanity has suffered, such as typhus, dysentery, cholera and influenza, among others. In short, garlic has been the first remedy both preventive and curative in epidemics suffered by humanity throughout history.
The beneficial effects of this ingredient have been known and used throughout history, from very remote dates, for example, 4,500 years ago, in the age of the pyramids of Egypt garlic was used as a tonic for its invigorating properties for the workers so they did not feel lack of energy.
Kyolics aged garlic comes from ecological crops (without chemical fertilizers, pesticides or herbicides) and is aged for a period of up to 20 months, increasing its beneficial properties and eliminating odor and irritating components.
The Kyoparty aimed to showcase the benefits of this wonderful plant, which combined with other ingredients creates very interesting synergies very beneficial for health. Three renowned doctors, Dr. María Pérez, Dr. Taher Abbas and Dr. Helena Rutllant, talked about clinical cases and explained how they introduce these products in their practice.
After the presentations we were accompanied by a magician called “Mago Rafa”. He mingled with the public and unwrapped all his magic leaving us astonished by his skills.
In short, it was an incredible evening, full of good energy and happiness, both for the Vitae team and all the attendees, who enjoyed it thoroughly.
